Lucy is available to illustrated talks on Watson Fothergill, Thomas Chambers Hine and Thomas Cecil Howitt’s Council House in Nottingham. A new talk, about Fothergill’s buildings in Mansfield, is also now available.
Such talks allow people to enjoy some of the content of her walking tours, fully illustrated with photographs, from the comfort of their chairs. So far these talks have taken place in libraries at Beeston and West Bridgeford, and at Nottinghamshire County Archives as well as for local history societies in Farnsfield, Ilkeston and Mansfield. Lucy has also presented a talk at a local care home, where the residents enjoyed sharing their memories of Nottingham buildings.
“Lucy gave an entertaining talk littered with a sprinkling of good humour about Watson Fothergill who designed so many interesting buildings in the Greater Nottingham area.”
Lucy’s talks can also take place as Zoom online meetings. If you would like to arrange a talk for your group, please contact Lucy to discuss your requirements.
Talks include Watson Fothergill Virtual Walk – highlights of the Nottingham City Centre Tour; TC Hine in Nottingham; The Buildings of Watson Fothergill in Mansfield and Fothergill & Howitt on the Market Square. Contact Lucy for more details or to book a talk in person or online.
