Nottingham's public art, statues & sculptures

Art Outside

£15.00

Join Lucy Brouwer, Tour Guide and Art Historian, for a look at some of Nottingham’s public art, sculptures, statues and street art. In collaboration with Nottingham Contemporary, the creator of Watson Fothergill Walk invites you to take a fresh look at art outside.

From Lace Market Square to Standing in This Place, Leaf Stem to the plaque for Xylophone Man, we will be looking at who we choose to commemorate and how, the functions of public art and stories of the artists who make it.

This is a city centre walk of approximately 90 minutes / 2km, with some steps. Please come appropriately prepared for the weather and wear footwear suitable for walking.

There will be opportunities for refreshment and discussion at Nottingham Contemporary where the tour starts and ends. There will also be an opportunity to take part in a walk-through of the current exhibition at 12.30 pm after the tour.
