Lace Market Heritage Tour

This is a shorter walk than the two main guided tours and takes place on flat, paved terrain. Offering an introduction to the architecture and history of Nottingham’s Lace Market, the Heritage Tour looks at the area around St Mary’s Gate and includes some architecture by Watson Fothergill and Thomas Chambers Hine (both featured individually in longer walks).

The idea of the walk is to identify some “Beauty in the Details” and discover some of the hidden gems of the area.

This is a walk of approximately 45 minutes, starting and ending at Debbie Bryan, 18 St Mary’s Gate, Nottingham.

Participants are asked to come appropriately prepared for all weather eventualities and to wear footwear suitable for city walking.

The next Lace Market Heritage Tour will be for Heritage Open Days and takes place on 14 September 2019. Tickets for HODS events are free but must be reserved at Debbie Bryan as numbers are limited.
